MedSurf is happy to announce several new features designed to make your use of RLFP more efficient and effective:

  1. Third party data entry – You can now assign a staff technician to enter the data required to produce Risk Reports.  The staff person must Sign up and establish an account that is associated with your account.  Once assigned, the technician logs into the system and enters data using the standard RLFP data entry form.  Technicians are not allowed to produce the reports as they must be reviewed by the physician.
  2. Rapid Report Generation -- When you (the physician) next log into MedSurf, you will see the total number of reports waiting to be viewed and produced.  Click on the link indicating how many reports need to be done.  You will then see a screen that contains a snapshot of the data entered for the report.  If the data looks correct when compared to the patient’s case file, you can then create the report.  If the data is incorrect you can reject the data and enter the correct data directly into the report generator in order to produce the report.
  3. Printer Friendly Reports -- Once you view the report and determine it to be accurate, you can add comments, then print it on your printer.  Click the button that says “Printer Friendly Report” to produce the report on your printer.
  4. Email Reports -- You can email a finished report with your comments directly to your patient or the referring physician.  As always, you can go to the “Reports” tab to produce RLFP reports on the fly.
  5. Prevention and Treatment Information – is now available when you review the report and when you send it to a patient or referring physician. The report always indicates the impact on both short and long term fracture risk by either prevention or treatment strategies. A prevention strategy is considered one which stops all bone loss. A treatment strategy is considered to be any treatment which reduces fracture risk by 50%.
